Valves & Actuation
Asahi/America Swing Check Valves are self-contained, automatic valves which are used to prevent the reversal of flow in a pipeline. When open and under flow pressure, the checking mechanism will move freely in the media, offering very little resistance and minimal pressure drop. Asahi/America Swing Check Valves utilize a swinging disc which requires only minimal back pressure to close the valve. This valve can be modified, with lever and weight or spring, to assist in seating faster, and to eliminate shock.
Features - • Minimum resistance to flow • May be installed either vertically or horizontally • Excellent flow characteristics • Disc seats tightly with minimum back pressure • Seat materials - EPDM, FKM or PTFE • All sizes rated for full vacuum service • PVC valves up to 3” rated for 150 psi @ 80°F, 4" to 6" sizes rated for 100 psi and 8" size rated for 75 psi.
Swing Check Options
• External lever and weight to assist disc in closing quickly • External spring to assist disc in closing
Asahi/America Type 14 Diaphragm Valves offer many combinations of body materials and elastomeric diaphragm materials. This valve is designed to resist abrasion and clogging. The path of the fluid has a smooth, streamlined flow. Slurries at low pressure that would normally clog most other valve designs easily pass thru this type of valve. Asahi/America Type 14 Diaphragm Valves are ideally suited for throttling as well as ON/OFF service in applications ranging from water treatment to chemical abrasion processes.
Features
• Position indicator standard • 150 psi maximum @ 70°F • Adjustable travel stop • Pipe connections - socket, threaded or flanged • Weir design allows for throttling • Automation with no body modifications
Options
• Diaphragms available in FKM and Nitrile • PVDF gas barrier on PTFE models • Pneumatic actuators • Stem extensions • Limit switches • Square operating nuts

Asahi/America Omni® Ball Valves are quick opening and closing; a quarter turn is all that is necessary. They provide tight sealing at low torque. The Omni® series is an economical, one-piece design which cannot be taken apart. Asahi/America Omni® Ball Valves have Teflon® seats which provide permanent lubrication and allow the valve to be operated with minimal effort. The Teflon® seats are backed by EPDM backing cushions. Also available in an electrically actuated version. 150 psi rating @ 120°F.
