Valves & Actuation
Engineered and Flow Tested for Superior Performance
Designed for quick, positive seal-off with minimum turbulence, low restriction and maximum fluid transfer, this industrial-grade ball check valve is used in a wide variety of industrial and chemical processing applications.
Heavy-Bodied PVC or CPVC Construction
Spears True Union Ball Check Valves never rust, scale or pit, providing exceptional chemical and corrosion resistance. Strong buttress-type threads on the union nuts allow higher pressure-handling capability and quick in-line installation and servicing.
- Spears computer-engineered design provides superior fluid flow with minimum turbulence. Eliminates “chatter” often encountered in ball check valves.
- Maximum Internal Pressure of 235 psi at 73°F for the most demanding applications of 1/2" - 4" valves.
- All Spears True Union Ball Check Valves are NSF Certified for potable water use.
This full-featured valve is engineered to provide accurate throttling control and shut-off for industrial, chemical and water treatment applications, as well as the handling of liquids with suspended solids, viscous fluids and slurries. Weir-type design utilizes a choice of elastomeric diaphragms with non-rising stem and built-in position indicator. Strong buttress thread, true union style end connection allows ease of installation and service. Available in IPS sizes 1/2” through 2” with socket and threaded end connectors. Heavy-bodied Schedule 80 PVC or CPVC smooth-wall construction provides extra strength, superior chemical and corrosion resistance while maximizing fluid flow. Choice of high-grade, abrasion-resistant EPDM, Viton® or elastomer-backed PTFE-laminated diaphragm allows application specific selection for optimum chemical resistance.
Features
• 235 psi @ 73°F (for complete size range) • Built-in mounting holes for self-tapping screws • Rugged construction with strong buttress threads • Available with EPDM, Viton® or PTFE diaphragm • Dual end connectors (socket and thread) on PVC and CPVC • SR threaded ends - SS-reinforced threaded end connectors
