Valves & Actuation
Hayward Y-Check Valves prevent reversal of flow in piping systems. They are ideal where backflow could potentially cause damage to pumps, filters or process equipment. Hayward Y-Check Valves operate without the need for any adjustments or settings. A plastic coil (not a spring) supports the disc inside the body. When the inlet flow stops, back pressure (a minimum of 2 psi is required) moves the disc with its elastomer o-ring onto a plastic seat - shutting off the flow.Â
Features
• 150 psi @ 70°F (non-shock)   • Full flow design, works in any position
Spears® True Union 2000 Ball Valves provide maximum versatility with fully interchangeable (with Series 2000 Ball Check Valves and 3-Way Ball Valves) valve cartridges. Provides for easier system design modifications and upgrades in multi-phase projects, or anywhere changes in valve type are desired. All True Union 2000 valves feature a low-profile, compact design for minimal space requirements. Choice of high grade EPDM or Viton® o-rings allows application-specific selection for optimum chemical resistance.
PVC True Union Utility Swing Check Valves are designed for horizontal installations, but may be installed in up-flow vertical position. Check valves must be installed with the valve’s FLOW arrow pointing in the direction of the flow. Flow velocity should not exceed 5 feet per second. Excellent for Pool and Spa, OEM and General Purpose applications.                                                                                      Â
• Pressure Rating - 150 psi @ 73°F   • Maximum Back Pressure 75 psi @ 73°F   • Maximum Service Temperature - 140°F
• EPDM seal for positive sealing     Â
A high quality, economical, quarter-turn shut-off valve designed for irrigation, lawn sprinklers, pool and spa applications. Available in IPS sizes 1/2" through 4", with choice of either socket or threaded end connectors. Smooth-operating PTFE floating seat design reduces wear. In the full open position, full bore virtually eliminates pressure drop, providing optimum flow. Maximum Internal Pressure of 150 psi @ 73°F for a variety of applications. Maximum service temperature for PVC is 140°F and 200°F for CPVC. All Spears Utility Ball Valves are NSF Certified for potable water use.
