Valves & Actuation
Hayward Angle Valves are used in tight spaces where a 90° change in flow direction is needed and there is insufficient room for extra fittings. Since they are globe type valves, they are ideal for sampling and for throttling applications. Hayward Angle Valves use precision-machined, fine-pitch threaded stems that allow for precise flow control down to shutoff. The 1/4" size valve has integrally molded-in lugs for easy panel mounting of the valve. Pressure Rating - 150 psi @ 70°F (non-shock). Molded-in Lugs for Panel Mounting - 1/4” size. NSF Approved, All PVC Construction.
Hayward Y-Check Valves prevent reversal of flow in piping systems. They are ideal where backflow could potentially cause damage to pumps, filters or process equipment. Hayward Y-Check Valves operate without the need for any adjustments or settings. A plastic coil (not a spring) supports the disc inside the body. When the inlet flow stops, back pressure (a minimum of 2 psi is required) moves the disc with its elastomer o-ring onto a plastic seat - shutting off the flow.
Features
• 150 psi @ 70°F (non-shock) • Full flow design, works in any position
Air-Operated Diaphragm
Series BSDA miniature air-operated diaphragm valves are designed for pressure applications with highly-corrosive or ultra-pure liquid systems when space is critical. The valve is ideal for a broad range of industrial applications, from electronics to chemical plants, commercial laundries, car wash operations etc. The standard valves are air pressure-to-open with spring return-to-close. Liquid line pressure assists in opening the valve. Not designed for vacuum service.
Normally-Closed Operation
A 3-way air solenoid valve connection to the 1/8" NPT port is required to actuate the diaphragm valve. When air pressure (40 to 100 psi) is applied, the diaphragm valve opens and, when removed, spring force closes the valve.
Materials of Construction
With the series BSDA air-operated diaphragm valves, the standard diaphragm material is a combination of PTFE on the wetted side backed up with Viton® for strength and flexibility. Body materials available are PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene, PVDF and Teflon®.
The upper air section is always PVC.
