The solid thermoplastic butterfly valves have a lined body design and bubble-tight seal with only the liner and the disc as wetted parts. Asahi/America Type 57 Butterfly Valves are self-gasketing, eliminating the need for additional flange gaskets. Asahi/America Type 57 standard model has a PVC or PP body with a polypro, CPVC or PVDF disc for better chemical and abrasion resistance at temperatures higher than can be achieved with other PVC butterfly valves. All models standard with 316SS shaft.

This heavy-bodied, quarter-turn shut-off valve is popular where maintenance-free installations are desired for a variety of chemical, industrial and OEM applications. Factory adjusted sealed units are available in IPS sizes 1/2" through 6", with choice of either socket or threaded end connectors. Spears PTFE floating seat design reduces seat wear for extended valve life, smooth operation, bubble-tight shutoff. 100% factory tested. Safe-T-Shear® Stem to help prevent leaks out in the event of stem damage. 235 psi @ 73°F (for complete size range).

Spear’s innovative design departs from traditional liner-seat type valves to eliminate seat creep, reduce operating torque and provide positive seal off. Ideally suited for flow control or throttling, this high performance valve is offered with a full variety of options for greater application versatility. Pressure rated to a maximum internal pressure of 150 psi at 73°F - including dead end service. Heavy blow-out proof 316 stainless steel stem is standard on all valves. PTFE-coated Stainless steel or titanium stems are available on request.
