Valves & Actuation
GF Type 546 True Union Ball Valves feature a short overall length, buttress thread design and universal multi-function module. This module significantly expands the number of uses for the Type 546 by allowing the user to easily add different accessories, actuators and switches. The multi-function module can also be used for easy wall and panel mount installation or as a position feedback unit by adding one of five different micro-switch options. GF Type 546 valves are easily automated with the newly introduced line of pneumatic and electric actuators that have been specifically designed to compliment the modularity and flexibility of the Type 546 ball valve.
Hayward Y-Check Valves prevent reversal of flow in piping systems. They are ideal where backflow could potentially cause damage to pumps, filters or process equipment. Hayward Y-Check Valves operate without the need for any adjustments or settings. A plastic coil (not a spring) supports the disc inside the body. When the inlet flow stops, back pressure (a minimum of 2 psi is required) moves the disc with its elastomer o-ring onto a plastic seat - shutting off the flow.Â

• 150 psi @ 70°F (non-shock)   • Full flow design, works in any position
Manufactured from glass reinforced polypropylene for strength and durability-will never rust or corrode. Self-aligning ball rotates freely against Teflon® seats. Unique body-to-flange design allows for low torque on/off operation. Viton® o-ring stem seal and EPDM o-ring body seal. Available with blue Norwesco handle or blank yellow handle. Pressure rated at 125 PSI @ 70°F. All valves tested by air pressure under water.
Series RVT is an angle pattern design featuring a non-sticking Teflon® shaft passing through three U-cup seals. Venting between the upper and center U-cups results in Plast-O-Matic’s patented Fail-Dry® design for added protection. In the meantime the third seal continues to protect the control spring. The RVT design starts with 1/2" pipe size and runs through 2". Set pressures from 5 to 100 PSI. Once the relief valve is set, the valve will remain closed as long as the tank or line pressure does not reach the set pressure. The valve will begin to relieve when the set pressure is reached and will require an overpressure of approximately 40% to fully open. When the pressure falls below the set pressure, the valve will again close. Series RVT relief valves are constructed of Type 1, Grade 1 PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene, Teflon® or PVDF with solid Teflon® shaft. U-cup seals are EPDM or Viton®. The adjusting bolt, lock nut, control spring and fasteners are cadmium-plated steel. Stainless steel is available as an option.                                 Â
