Ball Check Valve
Horizontal or Vertical Operation
Asahi/America Ball Check Valves employ a free-moving ball which unseats to permit flow in one direction, but seals against a seat to prevent backflow. They may be installed in either vertical or horizontal pipe runs. These ball check valves are rated for 150 psi @ 120°F in the PVC version.
True Union Design - 1/2" through 2"
Asahi/America Ball Check Valves (1/2" through 2" sizes) can be lifted from the line without having to move the piping, simply by loosening the two union nuts. The 3" and 4" versions are manufactured with a space-saving single union design.
Features
• Uniseat / seal of EPDM or FKM • Good flow characteristics • Minimum shut-off pressure of 5 psi • Rated for full vacuum • Mount vertically or horizontally
Options
• Teflon-coated FKM uniseat/seal • Solid thermoplastic ball • Spring-loaded ball to assist ball in seating faster • Foot valve screen assembly
Reliable Heavy-Duty Design
Chemtrol True Union Ball Check Valves heavy-duty stub-acme thread seal carrier retaining ring provides more reliability than other designs. Standard features - Teflon® seats, assembled with silicone-free lubricant.
Horizontal or Vertical Operation
Designed to operate effectively in horizontal or vertical positions. Equally effective in checking back flow from head pressure on the discharge or suction sides of pumps. Maximum Internal Pressure of 150 psi at 73° F for the most demanding applications of 1/2"- 4" valves.
Screen Assemblies
PVC and CPVC screens are available for easy conversion to foot valves, in all sizes.
Backflow Prevention
Hayward True Union Ball Check Valves prevent reversal of flow in piping systems. They are ideal where backflow could potentially cause damage to pumps, filters or process equipment.
True Union Design
Sizes 1/2” to 4” feature a true union design. This allows for easy removal from a piping system without breaking down piping connections. Pressure rating of 150 psi @ 73°F (non-shock).
