Valves & Actuation
Asahi/America Gate Valves are widely used ON/OFF valves for large diameter, full-port applications. When the valve is fully open, it allows straight-through passage through an opening that is essentially the same size as the inside diameter of the connecting pipe. Asahi/America Gate Valves are traditionally used for ON/OFF service, but because of the unique sliding plug design, which provides a larger seating area than conventional gate valves, it can be used in throttling applications. Asahi/America Gate Valves feature two different designs of plugs, one with a solid polypropylene plug and the other with a resilient elastomer plug. Each valve is specifically designed to handle unique corrosive applications.
Features
• Non-rising stem • New cylindrical plug design eliminates chatter • ANSI face-to-face dimensions • Low pressure-drop • 150 psi rating on sizes up to 8"
Options
• Stem Extensions • Square Operating Nuts • Locking Handles • Electric Actuation • Various Seal Material
Asahi/America Type 57 Butterfly Valves disc has about the same diameter as the connecting piping, and the flow is straight through, with a low pressure drop. The solid thermoplastic butterfly valves have a lined body design and bubble-tight seal with only the liner and the disc as wetted parts. Asahi/America Type 57 Butterfly Valves are self-gasketing, eliminating the need for additional flange gaskets. Asahi/America Type 57 standard model has a PVC or PP body with a polypro, CPVC or PVDF disc for better chemical and abrasion resistance at temperatures higher than can be achieved with other PVC butterfly valves. All models standard with 316SS shaft.
Spears® True Union 2000 Ball Valves provide maximum versatility with fully interchangeable (with Series 2000 Ball Check Valves and 3-Way Ball Valves) valve cartridges. Provides for easier system design modifications and upgrades in multi-phase projects, or anywhere changes in valve type are desired. All True Union 2000 valves feature a low-profile, compact design for minimal space requirements. Choice of high grade EPDM or Viton® o-rings allows application-specific selection for optimum chemical resistance.
