The path of the fluid has a smooth, streamlined flow. Slurries at low pressure that would normally clog most other valve designs easily pass thru this type of valve. Asahi/America Type 14 Diaphragm Valves are ideally suited for throttling as well as ON/OFF service in applications ranging from water treatment to chemical abrasion processes.

Georg Fischer Type 514 PVC and CPVC Diaphragm Valves are ideally suited for throttling applications for most fluids including abrasive solutions and slurries. Type 514 PVC and CPVC Diaphragm Valves are supplied with true union socket end connections, allowing the valve to be removed from the process without the need for additional fittings. Georg Fischer Type 514 is manufactured with an internal weir with a self-flushing design.
